110 out of every 100 people are mobile subscribers in Azerbaijan


There are now 18.6 telephone sets for every 100 people, and 68.8 telephone sets for every 100 households in Azerbaijan. Today, 110 out of every 100 people are mobile subscribers in the Republic.

Due to the growing need for internet services among the population and existing technical opportunities, the total capacity of international internet services grew by 2.2 times, compared to 2011, and reached nearly 200 GB/sec.

During 2012, the volume of international traffic incoming to Azebaijan from foreign countries decreased by 72.4 million minutes, compared to the previous year, and made 651.4 million minutes. The volume of outgoing traffic increased by 8.3 million minutes and reached 191.0 minutes.

As a result of measures taken in 2012 in the Republic towards insuring the stability of the international communications, the number of international telephone channels grew by 269 pcs., compared to 2011, and totaled to 9,385 pcs.
