Infrastructure created for Centralized Automated Radio-Monitoring Network


Work on building the Centralized Automated Radio-Monitoring Network is continuing in Azerbaijan. The chief engineer of the State Department on Radiofrequencies Ilham Aliyev said that 3 stationary and 1 mobile radio-monitoring centers will soon be launched in Baku and Absheron peninsula.

“The Control Center is now being constructed in Mehdiabad settlement in Absheron region. Construction of a necessary infrastructure for the control and broadcast radio-control centers has already been completed. An office was bought in Yeni Gunashli settlement for the broadcast radio-control center.

As part of these measures, equipment in the broadcast radio-control center located in Sahil settlement will be modernized. In this connection, a tender was conducted for acquisition and installation of equipment at 2 stationary and 1 mobile centers in Baku and Absheron peninsula. Sinam LLC won the tender.

The stationary centers will be used for analyzing TV, FM, GSM, CDMA, WiMax, WiFi, Trank, DVB-T and other types of broadband radio signals. In addition to that, fiber communication will be established among stationary centers to increase the speed of exchange of data between them.

The mobile station will be used for analyzing up to 44 QH radio-monitoring signals and up to 18 QH broadband radio-signals. All these activities will be carried out under the contract signed with the winner of the tender and will be completed by December 2013.
