230 projects have been presented for ‘e-Education’ competition so far


230 projects have been presented so far for “e-Education” country-wide competition, which is traditionally held every year in Azerbaijan by the Ministry of Education.

The activity is supported by Intel Corporation, “Education for Future” program, AZEDUNET, Ultra, Madad Azerbaijan, Nar Mobile and Dr.Web companies. Acceptance of projects for the competition will last till 24 May 2013. According to information provided to “ICTnews” online news service, to date, 3,812 teachers, 1,233 students, 3,155 pupils and 400 parents have passed registration at the competition’s official website “www.musabiqe.edu.az.” The activity will be held under the following two topics:

“Internet technologies in education" and "Electronic educational resources in modern schools." The main goal of the competition is to popularize the use of electronic educational resources and the Internet technologies in education process, to make aware education public in this area, to reveal new forms of teaching for the use of the Internet, to encourage the teachers using information technologies actively in educational process.

"Electronic educational resources in modern schools" direction submits the methodological teaching materials related to the practical application of the electronic educational resources in the educational process. The winners of this topic will be determined by the nominations "The best method for the use of IT in subject teaching", "The best method for the use of IT in primary education system" and "The best model of the educational process established through e-teaching materials". "Internet Technologies in Education" direction submits Internet resources, blogs and other Internet projects of educational content. The winners will be determined by the nominations "Internet Resources in Education" and "Teachers blogs”.

The nomination "The best region school" participating especially in the "E-education" competition to support teachers of the schools located in the regions to use ICT is determined. Three most active schools will be determined by these nominations. Voting will take place in the first phase by the professionals and experts jury of the Ministry of Education.

Each of competition winners by the five nominations will be presented laptops, netbooks and other special awards. It should be noted that this is the 4th “e-Education” competition to have been held in Azerbaijan. A total of more than 2,000 electronic recourses were presented and placed on the education portal during the “e-Education” competitions held in 2010 and 2012 years.
