Microsoft Actiongram to allow sharing three dimensional video messages

In June last year, Microsoft reserved Actiongram brand and logo, saying that that the brand will have something to do with the virtual reality. A few days ago, a closed beta version of Actiongram was launched. It turned out that the Microsoft’s mysterious project is an experimental service on sharing 360-degree reality supplementing 3D-video files.

As planned by the developers, Actiongram will become a vivid demonstration of the unique features of Microsoft’s virtual reality headset. The experiment called Actiongram has very limited functions yet. Service allows creating short 30-second sketches in which the reality is mixed with HoloLens objects.

The service will not be available to the general public in the coming months. Virtual objects are selected and handled with the use of simple gestures. Microsoft is now working on expansion of the functionality of the application.
