Communications and IT Ministry conducted “Azerbaijan-Austria” Business-Forum


“Azerbaijan-Austria” Business-Forum has been held in the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies.

The Deputy Minister of Communications and IT Elmir Valizade in his opening speech spoke about projects realized and achievements made thanks to the attention and care showed by the Azerbaijani President.

The Chief Secretary of the Federal Chancellor of Austria and the “E-government” Project Executive Kristian Rupp was the next to make a report at the forum. In his report Kristian Rupp gave detailed information about creation and development of “E-government” in Austria.

He said that Austria holds the leading position among European countries regarding the results achieved in the sphere of building “E-government”.

Peter Rinsner, a representative of 14-th Automatized Data Processing Department of Municipality of Vienna also delivered a report titled “E-government Solutions at Municipality Level”.

During his talk Peter Rinsner said that the Integrated Portal of Vienna’s Municipality had been existing for 15 years, and during this time this portal received 30 mln appeals.

“All appeals, which come to the portal from citizens, are sent to appropriate addresses for their execution. All these create to the people favorable conditions for effective utilization of electronic services.

The Head of Information Community Department of the Communication and IT Ministry Isbandiyar Aliyev, speaking about development of information technologies in the country, stressed that Azerbaijan was the first in the Southern Caucasus to take steps towards building information community.

At the forum he delivered a report on solving questions, which arose after adopting “National Strategy” and Government Programs on information and communication development.

The report also included activities conducted in the country for realization “E-government” project.

The Director of Data-Processing Centre Nail Mardanov also spoke at the forum about works implemented in the country towards creation of “E-government”.
