The number of active Facebook users continues to grow
The social network Facebook notes a further increase in the number of users, as well as the growth of key financial indicators. This is stated in the financial report for the third quarter of this year.
The size of the monthly audience of active users of Facebook for the year rose by 16%: with the social network employing approximately 2.07 billion people around the world. The number of active subscribers on an annual basis also increased by 16% – to 1.37 billion users.
In the third quarter of this year, the revenue of the social network was $ 10.3 billion. This is approximately one and a half times more than last year's figure – then the income was $ 7.0 billion.
As before, the lion's share of revenue comes from advertising. It accounted for $ 10.1 billion, or approximately 98% of total revenue for a three-month period.
In the last quarter, Facebook showed a sharp increase in net profit, which for the year jumped by 79% – from $ 2.6 billion to $ 4.7 billion. The profit in terms of one security increased from $ 0.90 to $ 1.59.
