VPN Opera has announced the imminent termination


The company Opera Software announced the discontinuance of the application VPN Opera from April 30, 2018. The message was published on the company’s official website Sunday, April 15.
 
“We stop the application Opera VPN for iOS and Android April 30, 2018. But don’t worry. We care about protecting your privacy,” — said in the message. The reasons for this decision are not specified.
 
Its users developers Opera VPN offered by the service SurfEasy and promised an annual subscription with a discount of 80 percent. Holders of accounts Opera Gold can in the first year to use the service for free. Now it is available on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
 
“All of us here in the Mozilla VPN (including Olaf), truly grateful for your support over the last couple of years, and we regret any inconveniences that may arise,” said the company.
 
On 13 April, the court in Moscow decided to block the Telegram messenger in Russia, the same day a web version of the service was in the unified registry of banned sites Roskomnadzor. Earlier, the head of Roskomnadzor Alexander Zharov said that the Agency will begin to block the messenger in the “near future”, but the exact date is not called.
 
Telegram founder Pavel Durov has promised users consider built-in methods bypass the lock, but warned that without VPN services the stable operation of the messenger is not guaranteed.
