Altai scientists create system that detects fake voices


Young scientists from Altai State University have developed a system that can recognize a possible editing in voice recording.  According to the Press Service of the University, the project can help identify the person based on voice biometric data.
 
The system is capable of detecting a fake voice. The development team has been working on its creation for 2.5 years. Scientists claim that they managed to achieve high results. In particular, they said that they had created analytical modules that were capable of detecting speech forgery.
 
The work of scientists, first of all, is aimed at combating fraud. It can be used, for example, in the banking sector, News.rambler.ru reports.
