E-trade getting off the ground in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan's nascent Internet trade had turnover of AZN 319,000 ($405,182) in the first five months of the year.
The vast majority – 99.6% – of goods sold through the Internet are non-food items, according to the State Statistical Committee.
The committee said that 35 trade and service enterprises in the country trade via the Internet.Most of the sales of consumer goods via the net were carried out by of legal entities, while 3.9% fell to individuals.
