According to him, the ‘Baku Telephone Communication’ PU launched this center on March 01, 2012 in order that the tourists visiting Azerbaijan could give and receive answers to their questions in English language.
‘This center will provide guests with prompt answers to their questions on cultural centers, air and land transport timetables, stations, hotels, restaurants, and ets. We have already gathered and presented to the center a large amount of information about numerous objects located in Baku city. The center is already receiving enquiries from abroad. Most of the inquiries are about tickets to the ‘Eurovision – 2012’ song contest.
The number of enquires is expected to rise sharply after inflow of tourists in Azerbaijan begins in May. All necessary conditions were created in the center to handle this inflow. The visitors to Azerbaijan will be able to get answers to all their questions at this center’, said A. Ismayilov. Let’s note that the most popular song contest, ‘Eurovision’ is organized between member states of the European Broadcasting Union.
The European Broadcasting Union organizes this contest with the aims of developing variety music in the European Space, intensifying exchange of programs between televisions, developing technical relations in the broadcasting sphere and, what is the most important, creating friendly atmosphere in the cultural sphere.
Representatives from 18 states will compete in the first semifinal of ‘Eurovision-2012’ Song Contest in Baku. The second semifinal will be held on May 24, 2012 with representatives from other 18 countries taking part in it.
Winners of the both semifinals will compete in the final that will be held on May 26, 2012. According to regulations, France, Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Spain and Azerbaijan, which was the last winner of the ‘Eurovision’ Song Contest, will compete directly in the final. Spectators and referees from all countries will take part in the voting. The televoting window will open at the end of each song to allow spectators to send their SMS messages.

A special cabinet-center has been created in the Information Inquiry Workshop of the ‘Baku Telephone Communication’ Production Union in connection with the forthcoming ‘Eurovision-2012’ song contest.
