OJSC Azercosmos has represented Azerbaijan at international seminar " Introduction of global navigation satellite systems ".
The seminar involving participation of specialist of Azercosmos’s Low Orbit satellite systems development department Islam Alizadeh was held in Riga.
The seminar organized by joint efforts of UNO Office on Space Affairs (OOSA),Latvian Agency of Cartographical Information (LGIA), European Space Agency (ESA) and International Committee of Global navigation satellite system was devoted to discussion of topical issues of use of navigation system in emergency situations identification and management, remote sensing of the earth, cartography, navigation and civil aviation, Fineko reports.
I. Alizadeh made a report at the session " Novelties and experience of global navigation system users" on Azerbaijan’s satellite projects based on GNSS technologies, in particular made presentation on Azerspace-1 satellite and told of future satellite projects which were apprehended by the seminar participants with interest.
