Azerbaijan is interested in Estonia's experience in financing start-ups of a scientific and technological nature, Azerbaijani Minister of Communications and IT Ali Abbasov said during his speech at the meeting of the Azerbaijani-Estonian Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation held in Baku.
"Large transnational companies can do without financial support of the state, but if we are talking about the economy of the 21st Century which is based on knowledge, in this case, of course, we should provide our main support to small and medium-sized businesses," Abbasov said.
He said one of the most important aspects in Azerbaijan's development strategy until 2020 is to support small and medium-sized businesses which will be provided with the necessary assistance."That is why we are interested in studying Estonia's experience in this field," Abbasov said.
