According to information provided by the ministry, the new e-services cover the areas of the ICT sphere such as the connection to telecommunications and postal services, creation of biometric technologies, development of information resources of individual data, licensing, issue of number resources, application for issuance of special permits for circulation of goods falling under the export control of goods and receipt of documents in e-form.
The legal entities and physical persons who want to use these electronic services should access the website ‘www.mincom.gov.az’ or e-Government portal www.e-gov.az and, depending on the type of activities, choose an appropriate e-application form and fill it up. Before submitting the application form, the applicant must attach scanned copies of necessary documents to it. Upon submitting of the application, a notification confirming receit of the application is sent to the applicant’s e-mail address.
The notification also contains information about discrepancies in the submitted documents, resolutions and etc. All the necessary additional documents required in the process of consideration of the electronic application are acquired by the ministry electronically from data bases of the relevant state agencies.
The Ministry of Communication plans to further expand the application of electronic services by launching in the near future a new e-service for issuing compliance certificates for telecommunication and radio installations.
Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies launches new e-services
The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan has launched 11 new electronic services as part of the implementation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s decree ‘On some measures for the organization of e-Services rendered by state bodies,’ dated May 23 2011.According to information provided by the ministry, the new e-services cover the areas of the ICT sphere such as the connection to telecommunications and postal services, creation of biometric technologies, development of information resources of individual data, licensing, issue of number resources, application for issuance of special permits for circulation of goods falling under the export control of goods and receipt of documents in e-form.
