The “Baku Telephone Communication” Production Unit is installing modern ONU equipment in central parts of Baku. This information was provided to ICTnews by Baku Telephone Communication.
According to the information, 1 piece of ONU equipment with a numbering capacity of 497 numbers was installed at ATS 564 and ATS 565 in Narimanov district of Baku, and 7 pieces of ONU equipment with a numbering capacity of 9,672 numbers were installed in ATS-566, ATS-567 and ATS-514, which are located in the same district.
The installation of ONU equipment in the ATSs, which was followed with the installation of optic network equipment in the newly constructed multistoried buildings, reduced the length of the existing subscriber lines by several times. As a result of these measures, subscribers were provided with high quality multimedia services. Let’s note that the new equipment installed in the ATSs and buildings will allow subscribers to use “IAD”, “IP-TV”, “IP Console”, “Centrex”, “VPN” and other broadband multimedia services.
