There are now around 800,000 telephone subscribers in Baku. This information was provided to ICTnews by the technical director of Baku Telephone Communication Production Unit Rasul Qurbanov.
According to him, Baku Telephone Communication wants to bring the number of telephone subscribers in Baku to 1,000,000 people. “In this connection, ZTE type ADSL equipment was installed in 640-port EATS-412, which is located in the Khatai Telehone Hub’s servicing area covering the central part of the city.
At the same time, new 576-port “Zuxel” equipment was installed in EATS-411, and an outdated 640-number “Huawei” type station in EATS 440/441 was replaced with a modern NGN type station with a capacity of 3,056 numbers. Besides that, two 384-port “Samary-x” type ONU equipments were installed in EATS 566/567 in order to provide all subscribers in the station’s servicing area with ADLS ports”, R. Gurbanov said.
