Digital broadcast covers the territory of lowland in which 55% of country’s population lives. The Technical Director noted that the next year Digital TV will be broadcasted across the whole territory of Azerbaijan.
Presently, besides Baku and Apsheron peninsula, digital broadcasting, carried out via stations at Ganja, Shirvan, Lerik cities, covers all regions of the mentioned cities and territories around these regions.
Let’s note that transition from analog broadcasting to the digital one took place in 2009. Though in Baku works in this direction started as far back as in September 2004.
Digital TV started broadcasting in Central Lowland
Digital TV broadcast over the territory of lowland has commenced. Technical Director of “Teleradio” PA Mikail Abbasov in his interview to “İCTnews” told that the tests connected with Digital TV broadcast were accomplished successfully within a few days.According to him, new equipment, meeting the highest requirements, was installed in the Radio and TV broadcast station in Agsu city.
