At present, eight agencies are connected to the e-government portal, which is scheduled to be commissioned by late 2011. This will be a key tool supporting public and private sector work with citizens and enterprises.
The X-Road principle designed to pull together the relevant information bases and state institutions created on various platforms, was used when creating the e-government portal.
The launch will reduce the number of paper documents due to the fact that different bodies will interact with each other in electronic form.
Azerbaijani ministries and departments to fully transfer to rendering e-services by 2013
The full transfer of Azerbaijani ministries and departments to rendering electronic services to the public is expected to take place by the end of the late first half of 2013, Azerbaijani Communication and IT Ministry's department representative Elchin Mammadov told.
