Yesterday on January 16, hackers attacked different organizations’ websites, located in the servers of the Data-Processing Centre of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies and the Communication and Information Security Department of The State Special Security Service.
In result of the attacks some problems arose in the work of websites of several state agencies and social organizations. Immediately after the incident, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies together with relevant organizations took the situation under control and started conducting analyses and taking additional security measures.
As it was established, hackers had penetrated the websites and placed pictures and information there. Methods of the penetrations, sending e-mails about the attacks to Mass Media, launching the attacks from different geographical locations testify to their purposiveness.
But due to works implemented in the country in the spheres of organization of the Internet, creation of websites and providing security of websites, the hackers were not able to inflict any serious damage to them. Now, the work of the hacked websites has been restored, and they are functioning normally.
Hacker attacks take place in different countries on daily bases. We condemn such illegal activities. At present, this incident is being thoroughly investigated, and measures will be taken to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. The public will be informed about results of the investigation and taken measures.
