In Azerbaijan every 100 people has 18,6 phones. In Baku every 100 inhabitants have 35.7 phones. This index for the other areas of the country and rural areas makes 10.9 pcs. and 7.1 pcs. respectively. Last year, every 100 families in the republic had 68,8 telephone sets. This index for Baku made 140.2 pcs., and 47.6 for other areas of the country.
