At the same time, a ground area was allotted to "Azerkosmos" JSC for construction of the main and emergency Ground-based Satellite Control Centers. Construction of the centers is scheduled to complete in June of 2012.
Launching of the satellite into the geostationary orbit is scheduled for the 4-th quarter of 2012. Works on contraction of low-orbit probing satellites and the 2-nd telecommunication satellite are underway.
Construction of the 2-nd telecommunication satellite has started
Works on construction of the first telecommunication satellite continue successfully. Credit agreements were made with foreign financial institutions in order to cover expenses connected with manufacturing the satellite and launching it into the orbit.At the same time, a ground area was allotted to "Azerkosmos" JSC for construction of the main and emergency Ground-based Satellite Control Centers.
