‘Aztelekom’ Production Unit modernizes ATSs in villages and settlements of Geychay region with NGN technology

“Complete modernization of the Geychay communication network that has been carried out by ‘Aztelekom’ PU symbolizes the transition to a new phase of development of the regional communication”, told ‘ICTnews.az’  head of the Geychay Telecommunication Hub, Islam Aliyev.

 According to him, ATSs in the residential center and 16 villages of the region have been modernized.  The modernization of the automatic stations was implemented with use of the latest NGN technologies produced by ‘Iskratel’ company in Slovenia. Besides that, the stations, produced by Turkish ‘KAREL’ company, were installed in other 10 villages of the region.     

Optical cable lines were laid in the residential center and villages of the region in order to provide the residents with high quality telephone and multimedia services. At present, the number of subscribers of ‘DATA Plus’ and ‘Aztelekom.net’ providers, operating in the region, is growing rapidly.

‘Azedunet’ transmission equipments were installed in central schools of the region in order to provide these schools with access to the global internet network. Let’s note that the modernization of the regional network with the latest technologies created excellent conditions for provision of other structures with modern communication networks.

Thus, the International Bank’s branch, polis department, commercial center, executive power, tax department No: 9, ‘AzNar’ company and other organizations of the region were connected to the central ATS with optical cable.
