The Forum also discussed ways and means to strengthen cooperation and increase the participation of the RCC in work of ITU in the development and implementation of ITU standards.
The forum was organized in 3 sessions: ‘Issues related to the development in RCC member countries’, ‘Bridging the standardization gap in the ICT sphere of RCC member countries’ and ‘Review of activities carried out by ITU to prepare standards and opportunities for participating in these activities’.
The agenda of the forum included such topics as hypercrime, bridging the standardization gap between RCC member countries, profiling and monitoring of multimedia content, resource-saving and stable communication network for rural and remote areas, universalization of broadband access and actual issues. According to the results of the forum the World Assembly will prepare general proposals for the standartization of electronic communication in RCC member countries.
Issues related to hypercrime and multimedia content analysis discussed
The regional ‘ITU Forum-2012’ titled ‘Bridging the standardization gap’ has been held in Tashkent city of Uzbekistan. At the forum representative of members-states of the Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) discussed issues related to hypercrime and multimedia content analysis.The Forum also discussed ways and means to strengthen cooperation and increase the participation of the RCC in work of ITU in the development and implementation of ITU standards.
