The first phase of voting in the “National Net 2012” competition has come to an end. In all, 399 websites were presented for 13 nominations. Out of them only 326 websites were admitted to take part in the competition. The Competition Commission on Design, Content and Technology, created by the Azerbaijan Internet Forum and consisting of 15 members, took part in evaluation of the websites during the first stage of the contest.
The first phase of voting ended up with giving the nominee status to 82 websites. The 2nd phase of voting will start on the 3rd of December and will end on the 15th of December. By 15th of December, the Competition Commission will define the winning websites for each of the nominations. The final presentation ceremony of the National Internet Prize is expected to take place on the 19th of December.
The Organizing Committee is currently making necessary preparations for awarding the winners of the contest. All winners on each of the 13 nominations will be awarded with a special prize - a bronze spider. Winners of the 2nd and the 3rd places will be awarded with diplomas.
This year, for the first time “The best social network” and “StartUp 2012” nominations were included in the program of the competition. Winners of “The best social network” nomination were awarded with special prizes of “SAZZ” company.
The “Azercell” company was the general sponsor of the competition. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, “Delta Telecom” and “SAZZ” companies provide their support for the “National Net” competition.
