Why does "Skype" attach the Upper-Karabakh to Armenia?
According to Polish "Biuletyn İnformacyjny Studium (BIS)" publisher, one of the world’s most popular companies in the sphere of internet-communication, "Skype", presents persistently the Upper-Karabakh as a part of Armenia. Thus, in the list of paid calls the name “Karabakh” is shown among Armenia tariffs; “Armenia-Erevan”-12,1 cents, “Armenia-Mobil”-23 cents, “Armenia-Upper Karabakh”-26,2 cents. According to this information, Armenian mobile communication operators only render communication services within the county, and subscribers of Armenian mobile operators use roaming services in Karabakh. The Polish publisher says that “Karabakh Telekom” also provides its services in Karabakh, and that "Skype" is not the only company to attach the Upper Karabakh to Armenia. For example, Polish website "smsbulk.pl" shows the name “Armenia - Karabakh Telecom” among the new Armenian operators "ArmenTel", "K-Telecom CJSC (VivaCell)", "Orange" (Orange Armenia CJSC). The Publisher notes that those who virtually included Karabakh into Armenia were well aware that the self-proclaimed republic would use +374 prefix in international call centers. Interestingly, such şelf-proclamed formations as Abkhazia and South Ossetia, in spite of not having been included into Russia, have international prefixes, which coincide with index of Russia (+ 7). The head of the Press Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elkhan Polukhov said that they would clarify the matter.Views: 876
