According to information revealed to “ICTnews” online news service by NETTY 2013, over 300 websites, software applications and projects are taking part in the competition, which is being supported by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Participants can submit their applications for the registration of websites, applications and projects till 31 May 2013. For participation, applicants should register on the NETTY website: www.netty.az.
Voting of the Expert Council and Virtual Jury to determine the nominees for the prize will be held simultaneously from 01 June to 11 June 2013. On 12 June, the NETTY Academy will start the voting which will be based on the final choice of the Expert Council that selects three nominees for each category and Virtual jury that selects one nominee for each category.
The Academy chooses a single award winner in each of 12 nominations. At the same time, it votes on non-competitive honorary and 'special mention' prize nominations. A new 'special mention' prize nomination for "Best mobile device applications" was open in 2013.
The most popular and in-demand applications built in Azerbaijan on the basis of mobile systems Android, iOS, Windows Phone will be determined within the nomination.
This year, like it was in the previous years, the Academy will also traditionally award an honorary prize "For contribution to development of the domestic information technologies" and "IT developments of the year".
