American psychologists have studied the impact of social networks on human life. In particular, they were able to find out why people become addicted to Facebook.
According to information provided on the web-portal “www.dni.ru ”, scientists from all over the world discussed the impact of social networks on human life at the annual NCA conference held in the US.
It turned out that people with certain personality traits are more prone to Facebook addiction, which is not as harmful as alcohol or drug addictions.
Such people suffer from low self-esteem and use Facebook in order to better understand themselves. It was also found out that persons with mild character and bad memory are also more prone to Facebook addiction.
