MTCHT recommends installing Adobe’s security updates

Adobe has released security updates to address security vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player, Connect and Dreamweaver.

In this connection, the Electronic Security Service (ESS) under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies recommends users and administrators to install these security updates.

ESS informs users that hackers can use these software vulnerabilities for managing infected systems.

The updates are meant to patch vulnerabilities in 28.0.0.161 version of Adobe Flash Player and in its previous versions (CVE-2018-4919 and CVE-2018-4920) installed in computers running on Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Chrome operating systems.

To download and install the updates, the user should click on this link in the "Solution" section of the Adobe Security Bulletin.

The update for Adobe Connect is designed to address the vulnerability (CVE-2018-4921) when downloading a file with a SWF extension that can be used for launching Cross-site scripting attack.

At the same time, the update addresses the OS Command Injection (CVE-2018-4923) security vulnerability in the Windows Operating System. The updates can be installed by clicking on this link.

The security update for Adobe Dreamweaver is designed to address the critical OS Command injection vulnerability (CVE-2018-4924) in the Windows Operating System.
