According to the source, in a network there was a bot which scans Cisco equipment for vulnerabilities and if it finds them, it replaces the parameters in the firmware. The bot removes the configuration files and in their place leaves a message with a picture of the US flag.

The experts noted that the vulnerability used by the hackers, is present in more than eight million devices and called the current situation of providers is critical .
