The Android Trojans belong to the family of Android.HiddenAds malware that display annoying ads. Viruses constantly display windows with banners and video ads that overlap the windows of other programs and the system interface, interfering with normal operation of devices.
Since the beginning of February 2019, almost 40 new modifications of such malicious apps have been identified. They have been downloaded by about 10 million users. Scammers spread some of these Android Trojans via Instagram and YouTube.
Because of advertising in popular social networks and Internet services with a multimillion audience, the number of potential victims who might install dangerous programs is significantly increasing, experts warn.
