The attackers have provided several scenarios that depend on the victim’s operating system.
Users of the desktop version of WhatsApp are sent to download a special extension for Chrome from the official store. It is called Black Theme for WhatsApp.
If the user installs this extension, it will automatically send the offer to change the design of WhatsApp to the list of contacts and group chats.
The easiest method to remove “Black Theme for WhatsApp” is to run an anti-malware program. You may try GridinSoft Anti-Malware. It’s good at detecting and removing adware and other PUPs (potentially unwanted programs).
