E-government portal created in Azerbaijan
An e-government portal has been launched in Azerbaijan. A deputy communications and information technology minister, Elmir Valizade, announced the launch of the site at an international communications conference. “Ten ministries have joined the e-government portal.
Work is under way to involve other agencies too,” Valizade told the Bakutel conference.The site, which has Azerbaijani, English and Russian versions, has news about the e-government project and background documents. Regulations for the use of e-services in Azerbaijan are to be approved soon, the deputy minister said.
