EU Kroes says e-books, books should have same tax rate
E-books sold over platforms such as Amazon Inc.'s Kindle and for tablet computers should have the same tax rate as traditional paper books, European Union digital agenda commissioner Neelie Kroes said Monday."I think books and e-books should be taxed the same," Kroes said in a 'Tweetchat' on the instant messaging website."Lower rates can help grow nascent markets."
