Public enquiry show that role played by ICT in Insurance and Pension System should be increased

The poll organized on the State Social Protection Fund’s web-site (www.sspf.gov.az, www.dsmf.gov.az)  has come to an end.  This time respondents were asked ‘In which direction reforms in the Insurance and Pension System must be continued?’ question. This information was provided to ‘ICTnews’ by Elmar Babayev, head of the Public Relations Sector of the State Social Protection Fund.

According to him, 49.4% of participants to the polling consider that employers should pay more attention to social insurance payments.   35.3% of respondents believe that  employees need to rise their  professional skills.  And 15.3% of respondents think that it is necessary to increase the role played by ICT in the Insurance and Pension System.

Results of the poll show that majority of respondents consider that employers need to pay closer attention to social insurance payments.  It is worth mentioning that in signing of labor contacts with employees, legalization of wages, timely payment of social insurances will play important role in determining size of pension benefits.

‘The State Program for the development of the Insurance and Pension System in 2009-2015’ outlines the next phase of reforms to be conducted in  the Insurance and Pension System.  One of the main directions of the reforms is the improvement of activities in the sphere of    compulsory social insurance. E.Babayev noted that the State Insurance Protection Fund continue to conduct such public enquires on its internet site in order to further develop relations with the public.

‘The main objectives of these polls are to determine to which extent the population is aware of reforms conducted in the Insurance and Pension System and to strengthen propaganda among the people on the areas that remain obscure to them.
