According to information spread by the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan Republic, 72.8% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was produced by the mining industry, 15.7% of GPD was produced by the processing industry, 5,6% - by power, gas and steam industries, 0.5% - by the water supply and cleaning and recycling of wastes spheres.
In January-February 2012 oil production constituted 7.5 million tons, and natural gas production made up 3.0 billion m3. In the non-oil sphere huge increase was observed in the production of food products, weaving, resin, plastic and construction materials. Increase was also recorded the in production of furniture, computers, electron and electric equipment, vehicles, machinery and etc.
Increase in production of computers observed in Azerbaijan
The total value of products manufactured in the industrial spheres in Azerbaijan in January-February 2012 amounted to 6.0 billion manat. This figure indicates to 0.2% increase in the spheres of production and services in comparison with the same period of the previous year.
