The State Statistical Committee recorded increase in import of mobile phones to Azerbaijan. 23,251 mobile phones with the total value of $10,843,000 have been brought to Azerbaijan in January-February of 2012. According to information provided to ‘ICTnews’ by the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the number of imported mobile phones grew by 11.6% compared to January-February of 2011.
Let’s note that last year 20,829 mobile phones were imported to the republic. An average monthly increase in the number of imported mobile phones constitutes 11,000 – 12,000 pcs. The monthly volume of mobile phone market in money terms ranges between $500,000 - 700,000.
