The statement came from Ulviya Hasanzade, chief of the Department for Corporate Ties and Public Responsibility of Azercell Telecom.
She said the 4G network will be launched in Baku on the initial stage. “Azercell will offer tariff packages to the subscribers. Many innovations are planned in anticipation of Eurovision 2012 contest in Azerbaijani capital”, Hasanzade said.
The international union of electric communication and 4G Alliance (involving ZTE Corporation and other Chinese companies as main participants) define the 4G technology as the next step in development of cableless telecommunication that will help achieve the data transmission speed of up to 1 Gbit/s in conditions of stationary use and up to 100 Mbit/s in condition of data exchange with mobile facilities.
The fourth generation mobile technologies can also be used in the sphere of television medicine, security and protection of public order, remote education, transport regulation and so on.
4G mobile communication services to be launched in Azerbaijan
