Bakcell announces investments plans for 2012
Bakcell (the first mobile operator in Azerbaijan) company's volume of investments in the Azerbaijani network development will hit 70 million manat by late 2012, the company's technical director Yigit Berktas told media.
"About five million manat has been transferred to the technical equipment fitted into Baku Crystal Hall, JW Marriott Absheron Baku Hotel, Flame Towers and Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel and others," he said.
He said that two million manat alone was transferred to the technical equipment of Baku Crystal Hall.
"At present, more than 30,000 subscribers can use services rendered by Bakcell in Baku Crystal Hall," he added.
The total number of Bakcell subscribers is 2.6 million people, of which 1.7 million are active subscribers. The number of base stations in the network hits 2600 units, of which 800 stations support 3G network.
