The use of "cloud computing" is provided under the regular state program on informatization of the education system, which starts in 2013.
"The new state program is designed to bring the informatization of the education system to a new level. As part of the next program we will continue work on the computerization of schools, the deployment of "cloud systems", the use in schools of "electronic books" etc.," the Office said.
Currently, the Office is working on connecting wiring medium educational institutions of the Republic of to Azerbaijan Education Network (AzEduNet). Currently 1200 educational institutions are connected to the AzEduNet. Before the late year, according to Office's projections, the number of schools connected to the network AzEduNet will reach 1,700.
In each school to connect to AzEduNet comprehensive preparatory work is conducted on the standardization of computer hardware and software, then a local network installed uniting all the computer classes, room of director, teachers room and library.
Connecting to the network allows to provide high-speed exchange of information between educational institutions in the country, as well as easier access to the content.
