I see information communication technologies (ICT) in the first place among priorities in future years, said Pesident of Azerbaijan Republic.
President of Azerbaijan Republic Ilham Aliyev in his speech at the official reception on the occasion of May 28 - Republic Day.The Head of State noted that, in general, the development of the world goes in this direction.
“Knowledge and competence will be an even greater extent to determine the location of countries in the world in the future. Therefore, a particular attention should be given to this area. A special attention should be given to science and education. This area should be placed in the forefront. The programs, adopted in recent years in the field of science and education of young people, aimed at these goals.
We want our young people to be literate and educated, science should develop in Azerbaijan. Science, knowledge and talent mean development. Today we use scientific values created in other countries. And it is natural. Because we are part of the world community. However, I believe that now there is enough scientific potential in Azerbaijan. This potential will be even stronger in the coming years, particularly, due to young people,” said President Ilham Aliyev.
“That is to say, most powerful young scientific elite should be created in Azerbaijan, which will successfully rule the country after 20, 30, 50 years. Therefore, information and communication technologies, science and education should be a priority in years to come,” added the Head of State.
