According to information provided by ICTnews, the electronic base will be soon created for the materials, which have been accumulated for Azerbaijani dictionaries so far. On May 29, 2012, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed an order on strengthening the material and technical basis of the Linguistic Institute after Nasimi, which is a reach centre for linguistic science.
This order follows the decree ‘On the State Program on the use of Azerbaijani language under conditions of globalization in accord with the requirements of time and the development of linguistics in the country’ dated May 23, 2012 and aims at conducting of fundamental research activities and studying Azerbaijani language related antique souses from manuscript funds.
The Program was developed with the aim of creation the electronic base for accumulated linguistic materials and for organisation of dialectological expedition in line with clause 32 of paragraph 109 of Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the order, 2 million manat will be allocated to the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences from the Azerbaijan’s State Budget for 2012. The Presidium of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences will make sure that the allocated sum is spent appropriately according to the plan presented by the Linguistic Institute. The Cabinet of Ministers is responsible for resolving all issues that will arise in the course of execution of the order.
