Azerbaijan to participate at 46-th council meeting of administrative heads of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC)

Azerbaijan has a vote in the nomination of the leadership of the Postal Operations Council (POC), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan reported. The POC leadership election will take place within a 46-th council meeting of administrative heads of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC), which will be held on June 12-13 in Turkmenistan.

POC is a body of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), dealing with technical problems and operational matters. Its structure is represented by 40 member countries, including Azerbaijan. POC is responsible for operational, commercial, technical and economic considerations issues relating to the postal service.

Meeting of the Council of the RCC Board will examine the implementation of its activities, contributing to the development of further cooperation of CIS countries in the field of communication and information, preparation of the RCC communications administrations to international and regional forums in the field of radio communications and postal services and the entry of new members to the board of operators telecommunications.

It is also planned to discuss and make decisions on the internal activity of the RCC, including changes and additions to the regulations.
