The 46th meeting of the Board of the Heads of the Communications Administrations of Regional Communication Union has started in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan. A delegation led by the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov is representing the Republic of Azerbaijan in this 2-day activity.
The agenda of the meeting, among other things, includes such issues as development of cooperation between CIS states in the sphere of Communications and Informatization, implementation of activities towards the preparing communication administrations of the Regional Communication Union (RCU) for international and regional forums on radio-communication and postal communication, development of mutual cooperation in electro-communication, acceptance of new members to the Electro-Communication Operators Counsel. The activity is also expected to discuss and accept decisions on RCU’s internal activities as well as to make alterations and additions to the RCU’s normative documents.
The meeting is attended by delegations of communication administrations from the countries that are full-fledged members of the Regional Communication Union, RCU’s monitors, as well as high-level guests from various regional and international organizations.
