On the average, computer users account for 29,8% of the total number of personnel working in companies equipped with computers, and 18,7% of the total number of all workers of all companies operating in Azerbaijan. This information was provided to ICTnews by the State Statistical Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to this information, the Committee has conducted a poll on application of computers at companies in Azerbaijan. The results of the poll show that, like in previous years, the companies involved in financial activities have the largest share of their personnel (77,1%) working on computers.
Companies operating in construction and social service fields have the lowest share of their personnel working on computers. Among workers of the companies operating in Baku city the share of computers users constitutes 22,2%. For the entire country this figure constitutes 54,9%.
Women account for more than half of computer users in Azerbaijan
There were 211,300 computer users in Azerbaijan at the beginning of 2012. This is 27,300 users more than in the previous year.
