According to this information, the Committee has conducted a poll on application of computers in companies in Azerbaijan, according to which the number of companies using computers grew from 7,809 units in 2010 to 10,221 units in 2011. During the same period, the number of computers in these companies increased by 18,7%. The largest share of this increase was observed in the real estate companies.
At the beginning of 2011 there were 60,000 computers in educational institutions, which is 14,5% more than in the previous year. During the reporting period, 14,9% increase in the number of computers was observed in Absheron economic region, 20,4% increase was observed in Ganja – Gazakh region, 21,7% - in Shaki - Zagatala economic region, 16,3% - in Guba – Khachmaz economic region, 16,6% - in Aran economic region, 17,6% - in Daglig – Shirvan economic and 21,1% increase in the number of computers was observed in Nakhichivan economic region.
Number of computers in companies increases by 18,7%
There are around 173,600 computers in 62,9% of legal entities operating in Azerbaijan.
