Azerbaijan leaves several CIS countries behind in number of telephone sets
In the first half of the current year the number of telephone sets possessed by every 100 people out of the country’s entire population reached 16.3 pcs. This index made up 35,1 for Baku city and 7.1 and 10.8 for rural and other areas of Azerbaijan respectively. Azerbaijan leaves Armenia, Georgia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan behind in the number of telephone sets per 100 men. However, this index in Belorussia is 43.1, in Russia – 36.6, Ukraine – 28.5, Kazakhstan - 26. Relevant measures are being implemented in Azerbaijan in order to improve its position in the number of telephone sets per 100 men.Views: 822
