The “Wi-Fi” system was installed at the university a few months ago, and students can now access the Internet from any place in the university. It is worth mentioning that all places in the Sumgait State University have been occupied by the university entrants who successfully passed the admission examinations announced for this academic year. Around 1,000 new students got an opportunity to receive full-time tuition, and about 200 new students attend extramural courses.
All departments and laboratories of Sumgait State University provided with computers
Certain measures have been implemented towards consolidating material and technical basis of the Sumgait State University. According to information provided to ICTnews by the Sumgait State University, all departments and laboratories of the university have been provided with computers in order to insure wide application of information and communications technologies in education and research activities carried out by students and teaching personnel of the Sumgait State University.The “Wi-Fi” system was installed at the university a few months ago, and students can now access the Internet from any place in the university.
