A project on the establishment of an electronic inventory and digital cartography in Baku will be implemented within 12 months; deputy chief of the state committee on property issues Rafig Jalilov reported this on Wednesday at a conference dedicated to the establishment of a project to launch a single digital cadastre and cartography in Baku.
"Such systems are successfully operating in almost all the developed countries of the world. Azerbaijan will soon join this system and the state committee is taking measures for that," he stated.
According to Jalilov, implementation of the project will take place in Baku with assistance of the state committee on property issues, World Bank, Kwf German bank and the winner of the tender on realising the project realisation, Turkiye cumhuriyyeti kutlubey harita ins Company.
"Our Turkish partners will implement the project on the establishment of a cadastre in Sumgayit which will be completed by the end of this month, followed by the project's implementation in Baku, lasting 12 months," he noted.
He said the state committee will is operating actively and taking measures for the establishment and introduction of digital cadastre system of real estate property, taking into account the system and experience of European countries in this field.
Employees of the emergency ministry, ministry of ecology and natural resources, the committee on architecture and town planning, Baku executive power, SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan0 as well as representatives of Azersu, Azerenerji and Azeriqaz took part in the event.
Azerbaijani government and the World Bank (WB) signed an agreement on establishing a project of a single cadastre system of real estate property in July of 2007. The project consists of four components: registration of real estate property, management and registry of state property, basic cartography and land cadastre and training, formation of policy and project management.
The project cost amounts to $38.57 million, with $30 million falling to the share of the WB. Credit resources have contributed to the period of 20 years with a grace period of five years.
