On December 10~14, 2012 the Implementation Survey Team headed by the Resident Representative of KOICA Azerbaijan Office Ms. Kim Eun Suk and the working group headed by the Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Mr. Elmir Velizadeh discussed the issues related to the successful implementation of the Project.
The objective of the Project is to establish the Education Information System, which includes portal, e-learning, remote lecture, etc., for training the government officials and providing the online educational service to facilitate e-government in Azerbaijan and to support the establishment of central and regional e-government education center by supplying information technology equipments such as firewall, PC, switch, electronic board, digital power lectern, etc. for the high quality of the educational environment.
In addition, the Project aims to contribute to the human resource development of Azerbaijan government officials and promote ICT and e-government competencies by sharing the know-how of Korean technology and development experience. KOICA will fulfill the following activities during the Project:
1) Establishment of Education Information System,
2) Provision of equipment and materials necessary for the implementation of the Project,
3) Dispatch of Korean experts to Azerbaijan to provide technical advice for the implementation of the Project,
4) Invitation of Azerbaijani officials and specialists to training programs in Korea KOICA will provide a grant aid USD 3,700,000 for the Project, and the project duration will be 2 years (2013-2014)
The Record of Discussion of the Project “The Establishment of Educational Center for e-Government of Azerbaijan” between the parties was signed on December 14.12.2012. Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) is a government agency of the Republic of Korea implementing the government's grant aid and technical cooperation programs. KOICA has 43 representative offices in partner countries.
