According to the ministry, the number of schools provided with internet access increased from 1.5 percent in 2003 to 31 percent in 2012.
The volume of budget assignations spent on education rose from 234.8 million manat in 2003 to 1.31 billion manat in 2012. The volume of investments in the education sector increased from 24.7 million manat in 2004 to 787.6 million manat.
‘e-School’ project implemented in 50 educational institutions in Azerbaijan
The “e-School” project is being currently implemented in 50 educational institutions in Azerbaijan. Within the project 1,700 schools have already been provided with the broadband internet.This information was provided to “ICTnews” online news service by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
