The forum aims at informing Azerbaijani youths about the new technologies and helping them to use opportunities existing in this sphere. The number of persons using mobile communication services is growing in the country. Therefore, the government created necessary conditions for the development of this sphere. Azerbaijan-based mobile communication operators have already started to provide 3G and 4G services. From May 1, registration system of mobile phones and mobile number portability will be launched.
Such forums allow establishing new services in mobile communication network. Within the project, Mobile Technology Hubs were established in 8 countries of the world and one of them is in Azerbaijan. The forum, which will last for two days, was attended by some 30 specialists in ICT sphere from 20 countries (US, Finland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova, Tunis, Jordan, India and Singapore).
It should be noted that sessions on “Mobile Technologies: New place for youths’ virtual business”, “Innovations in mobile technologies and investments in them”, “Technological renovations for students”, “role of Lego robots in technological development” and presentation of Mobile Monday network will be held within the framework of the forum.
World Youth Forum on Mobile Technologies has been held in Baku
On 29 Aprel, 2013 the International Youth Forum on Mobile Technologies was launched in Baku by the Ministry of Youths and Sport and Caspian Investment Centre.The forum aims at informing Azerbaijani youths about the new technologies and helping them to use opportunities existing in this sphere.
